Efren Peñaflorida, Jr. – dedicated teacher, social worker and CNN Hero of the Year, is in Winnipeg to share his amazing journey from poverty and hopelessness to being a global hero and champion of the youth.
“I am here to share our story, about the program we do in Cavite, our Kariton Klasrum (mobile classroom in a push cart),” said Efren.
“Our main objective is to bring basic education to poor and underprivileged children and re-kindle their interest to go back to school.”
