Now Mich Turner is setting her sights on Scotland as she launches the search for the nation’s best baker.
The mum of two is known for being a judge on ITV show Britain’s Best Bakery – but she reserves her toughest criticism for herself.
Mich said: “Whether I’m making a cake for Madonna, the Queen, Pierce Brosnan, Paul McCartney, David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay or Barack Obama, it’s my work and creativity going out there – and I’m my harshest critic, so I will always endeavour to do my very best.”
She began baking at an early age, when she would stand on a kitchen chair pretending to be Delia Smith as she rolled out little pastry biscuits with her mother.
